Honey Baked Apples with Walnuts and Yogurt

These sweetly baked apples make for the ideal winter dessert or breakfast!

INGREDIENTS

  • Pink Lady apples (4)
  • honeystix  (5) - pure honey flavor or cinnamon for an extra kick
  • apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp
  • ground cinnamon - 1 tsp (optional)
  • walnuts - 1 tbsp, toasted and roughly chopped
  • greek yogurt - 6 tbsp

 

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

  
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Halve each apple and remove the core. Put in a baking dish big enough for all apples to fit snugly. Mix the honey and apple cider vinegar with the ground cinnamon and drizzle over the apples. Bake for 40 minutes, turning and basting the apples after 20 minutes, until they are very soft.

STEP 2

Serve on top of Greek yogurt, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and drizzle one more honeystix over the top.
